Therapy Can Help Teens Build Confidence and Resilience

The pressures of adolescence can make your teenager feel like they’re drowning. Therapy provides a non-judgemental space where they can share their feelings and gain confidence to move forward. Our therapists will equip your teen with the tools to face challenges confidently and positively.

Who We Are

Why Choose JuneDay Therapy

Do you remember the pure spirit you embodied at 6 years old? Over time, life’s challenges can distance you from the beautiful enthusiasm, excitement, and energy you felt for living.

When this happens, many of us develop defense mechanisms – be it anger, striving for perfection, or other distractions – as a way to cope with past traumas, the aftermath of loss, or the weight of having to mask your true identity.

At JuneDay Therapy, we believe you don’t have to feel alone on this journey; you don’t have to cover up who you are or diminish your light. We will use our experience and expertise to help you rediscover the inherent value and lovability of your true self.

Our mission is to guide you towards releasing those burdens, approaching your struggles with understanding rather than blame, and helping you reconnect with the inner person you know is striving to shine.

Teen Therapy

Frequently Asked Questions

Does My Teen Need Therapy?

Many parents wonder how to help their struggling teens. Every teenager will experience different emotions as they face unique challenges. If your teenager is dealing with any of the above symptoms, therapy can help. Therapy can also benefit teens who struggle with mental illness or repressed trauma.

We encourage parents to join the consultation session with one of our therapists. It’s helpful for parents to join the last few minutes of each therapy session. This time is beneficial for your teen to share anything with you. If you and your teenager would like joint sessions, we can also schedule those.

Our therapists specialize in a wide range of therapy modalities. We use a combination of therapy methods to facilitate optimal results. These methods include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic.

Coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and self-awareness are essential for teenagers. Therapy can help teens suffering from repressed trauma or other mental health concerns. Partnering with an experienced therapist can help your teen reorient their mindset to face complex challenges.
